३ Miracles

I don't know how it is for most mothers, but for me, this time of night is always an emotional time for me. My children's bedtime schedule is 8:00 p.m. Before I lay down, after cleaning a few things, I go and peak in on their faces. All sorts of emotions race through my head. First, I thank my God that he has allowed me to care for HIS kids at this time in my life. I always keep that in mind. These are God's kids. We should train them up in HIS way, because that's what HE tells us to do. We need to stop putting our own thoughts and ideas into the psyche of our kids and remember that they are the products of our HEAVENLY FATHER. I wonder if I was a good mother today, if I could have given them more hugs and kisses, did I fuss too much today? Did they feel my love for them? I just love my kids. I thank my God for trusting them with me. To God be the Glory!!!!!!

The 'WORD' for the day.

My niece Keneisha sent me a message this morning. In her message she included this word that I want everyone that views my blog today to see.

"But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you." I Peter 5:10
AMEN!!!!!!

Sunday night thoughts

Have you ever attended a church for a couple of years and then for whatever reason you stop going as much? No one calls to check on you to see how you are doing, but they ask your husband; then, when you return to church, they all go, "oh, I miss you so much sister." I don't believe any of them for two reasons; one if you miss someone you find out what happened to them, you call and two, if you miss someone you ask whats been going on, is everything OK. Even if I decide not to give you any information, at least you make the effort to inquire. I attended this church before and the Pastor accidentally called me thinking he was calling someone else, twice and not one time asked me how I was doing. What's going on with the people of God. How can we go on from day to day and not care about each other. We are so busy getting our degree's (that's right I said it) and keeping up appearances from church to church that we forget to just care for each other. Church seems more like a day at the office; everyone smile at each other, but the only reason they are there is to collect a paycheck and then they are off to their own lives. Church shouldn't be like that, we should be more personal, we should be as close or more so than our immediate families. Then again, maybe it just depends on the church. Now, because so many people are sensitive to people being openly verbal about anything, I'm not knocking people going back to school at all, I think its wonderful, absolutely, but when are we going to be the helpers one of another that God requires us to be. You can't help someone when you are not available to them. Also, because of the computerized age we are in now, most people have become to lazy to make it personal. We text like we don't have mouths. I'm just saying.............

I AM A COG

I love this abbreviation, a COG, which means a 'Child of God'. There are many times when you are out in the world and you are asked, what's your religious affiliation? Well from now on, I'm just going to say that I am a COG! All of these religious titles, Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, Pentecostal, and even Apostolic, are just man made words. They mean absolutely nothing if you still don't recognize and carry yourself as a child of God. What's the point in titles anyway. I AM A COG! Are you???
